diigo - Not just bookmark, but Highlight!

Screens vs. papers

There is always a question in my mind: Why can't we read articles on screens as comfortable as on papers? To me, I will choose books rather than computers if I want to study something because I can take note on it and highlight those important sentences. Unfortunately, we google everything we can and get all information from websites nowadays. However, it is not easy to organize what you read on websites or even take notes on them just like reading a book. Luckily, a web-based tool called "diigo" is designed to solve this problem.

Sticky notes is not a big deal, but Web Highlighter is really a new stuff.

Diigo is a web-based tool for highlighting, sticky notes, and of course, bookmarking. In other words, you can use it to take notes or give comments on the web pages you are surfing.

Highlight your findings and share with your friends

Combined with social networking concepts, you can also share your findings with your friends or co-workers. They can follow your notes and highlights and need not to read through whole pages. Diigo is really a good tool for collaboration and teamwork. CNET ranks diigo as one of the TOP 10 Research Tools.

Competitiveness Analysis

However, bookmarking is not a new idea.
